Our Story
— The 4th of July 2017 will always mark a special place in our love story. Andile was on secondment to Germany which was only meant to last 3 months but half year through her secondment she managed to extend her visa and stay for an additional month. Little did she know that this last month will be the month she meets Arne. Arne was smitten from day one as he extended an invite to a Vietnamese restauarant with chairs as high as Andile’s shoulders — She thought This guy has gotta be joking? Our first lunch date and the rest as they say is history….

— At the end of Andile’s secondment at the end of August 2017, we started planning Arne’s first visit to South Africa which was only going to happen in December of that same year. There were a lot of doubts on whether he would actually come to SA, but he surprised us all (by us I mean Andile’s close friends who thought he was a fly by night kinda guy - haha).
Arne landed in South Africa on the 27th of December 2017 and a trip to Mpumalanga was the perfect destination to make him see our beautiful country plus wildlife to convince him to move here permanently.
I guess it worked because he has been here ever since.

The marriage by Rumi ‘May these vows and this marriage be blessed. May it be sweet milk, his marriage like wine and halvah. May this marriage offer fruit and shade like the date palm. May this marraige be full of laughter, our every day a day in paradise. May this marriage be a sign of compassion, a seal of happiness here and hereafter. May this marriage have a fair face and a good name. I am out of words to describe how spirit mingles in this marriage.’
